Students of Godavari House from Grades III – VIII presented a powerful assembly on the theme ‘World Humanitarian Day’. The aim was to create awareness among students about the importance of compassion, selfless service, and humanitarian values in today’s world.
The assembly began with a warm welcome speech by the anchors, followed by a soulful prayer by the school choir, invoking peace and harmony. Thereafter, the National and International News along with the Weather Report were presented, keeping everyone informed and connected with the world around us. The Thought of the Day emphasized the value of kindness and humanity.
A special highlight of the assembly was a ramp walk showcasing famous humanitarians, such as Mother Teresa, Ratan Tata, Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai. The students, dressed as these personalities, spoke a few lines about their contributions, inspiring the audience to imbibe the spirit of service. After this, the Pledge was taken by all students affirming their commitment to live with honesty, discipline, and responsibility towards society.
This was followed by an address by the House Teacher, who shared motivating words on how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in society. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, instilling a sense of unity and pride among all present.
Overall, the assembly was thought-provoking and inspiring. It not only honored the spirit of World Humanitarian Day but also encouraged students to become more empathetic, responsible, and service-minded individuals.
