"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end." To make the first day of school special and meaningful, engaging activities were conducted across different grades to foster self-awareness, connection, and teamwork. For Grades III-V, the activity "The Adjective Mirror – Reflecting Me!" encouraged students to explore their identities by choosing an adjective that best described them, helping them recognize their strengths and build confidence. This simple yet impactful exercise also allowed classmates to appreciate one another, creating a supportive and encouraging classroom atmosphere. For Grades VI-VIII, two interactive games added excitement to the day. In "2 Truths and a Lie", students wrote two truthful statements and one false statement about themselves while their peers guessed the untrue one, enhancing observation and reasoning skills. Another engaging task, "What's Alike and What's Different?", had students working in small groups to identify three similarities and three differences among themselves, fostering meaningful discussions, teamwork, and mutual respect while highlighting both individuality and shared experiences. These thoughtfully designed activities set a warm and welcoming tone for the new academic year, ensuring students felt comfortable, valued, and excited to embark on their learning journey together.
