"A man's country is not a certain area of land, of mountains and woods, but it is a principle – and Patriotism is loyalty to that principle."
Sacrifices of our martyrs bore fruit in the form of our much treasured independence. But that was not all. This independence became complete only after our Constitution was written and enforced on 26th January, 1950 – a red-letter day in the history of India.
Mother Divine Public School celebrated our 74th Republic Day with a lot of zeal and vigor. The ceremony began with flag hoisting, followed by the National Anthem to pay tribute to the motherland. The students presented soulful dance performances, showcasing our rich historical, traditional and cultural heritage. They also presented speeches and poems on loyalty and patriotism. A plethora of other activities were carried out which triggered many emotions; pride, love and respect for the country.
The Academic Director, Mr. A.K. Bakshi greeted everyone on this occasion. He shared his thoughts on democracy, saying that we are fortunate to have been born in the world's largest democracy. He also said that one's personal growth leads to the growth of the country and this can be achieved only by continuous learning.
No celebration is complete without making us feel proud of the fact that, "Saare Jaahan se Acchha Hindustan Hamara".
