Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an educational simulation in which students learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. MUN involves and teaches researching, public speaking, debating, and writing skills, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities. Participants in Model United Nations conferences, known as delegates, are placed in committees and assigned countries, or occasionally other organizations or political figures, where they represent members of that body.It is meant to engage students, and allow them to develop deeper understanding of current world issues and world politics.
Students of MUN Club conducted a Training Programme for the students of grade VIII & IX on 25 July 2024. During this training session, learners honed various soft skills like collaboration, problem solving and learned about their assigned country, its culture, economy, and stance on various global issues.
MUN training programme was an enriching experience for young learners. It is an exercise in research, public speaking, and teamwork. These are skills that students will need throughout their career, and MUN gives them a chance to practice.
