"Activity: Folk Art Competition (Tribal and Traditional Art Forms)"
Art and Craft provides a unique, fun opportunity to learn and improve skills in children. It is an expression of our thoughts and emotions as we relate it to our culture and traditions. They provide a way to stay connected with our roots. Indian Folk Art is an amalgamation of tradition, culture and ideologies. To enhance the understanding of this art, Mother Divine Public School, organized a Folk Art Competition for students of Grade VIII on 10th July, 2024. Students were asked to put their creative minds on the sheets with a splash of colours. The students showed enthusiastic efforts in creating fascinating art works like aesthetic folders, facemasks, quilling art designs, greeting cards, ornaments, paintings and various other things that demonstrate the tribal art. Our budding artists presented many creative ideas which left everyone awestruck. Students successfully illustrated their ideas and produced wonderful concepts. The competition seeks to bring together history and art, so that they can explore their roots and showcase it in a creative manner. It was an engaging and evolving activity for all. The event turned out to be a thrilling learning experience for everyone.
